REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

REMOVAL
CAUTION:
Before disconnecting any components, make sure the area is clean and free from
foreign material. When
disconnected all components must be sealed.
NOTES:
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending
on the vehicle specification, but the

- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components
removed to provide extra clarity.
1. Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
2. Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2-post lift.
3. Evacuate the Air Conditioning (A/C) system.
4. Remove the charge air cooler.
5.
- Release the 2 wiring harnesses from the bracket at the 4 clips.
- Remove the 2 nuts.
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Remove the charge air cooler bracket.

NOTE:
Note the installed position of the accessory drive belt.
- Use a suitable tool to release the accessory drive belt tensioner.
- Install a suitable tool to lock the accessory drive belt tensioner.
- Remove the accessory drive belt.
7.
- Release the 3 wiring harness clips from the 2 A/C pipes and the A/C
compressor.
- Remove the nut.
- Release the ground cable from the A/C compressor.
8.
CAUTION:
Make sure the 4 O-ring seals are discarded.
- Remove the 2 nuts.
- Release and reposition the 2 A/C pipes.
- Remove and discard the 4 O-ring seals.
9.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the A/C compressor.
- Release the wiring harness clip from the A/C compressor.
- Remove the 3 bolts.
- Remove the A/C compressor.
INSTALLATION
1.
- Install the Air Conditioning (A/C) compressor.
- Install and tighten the 3 bolts.
Torque: 25Nm
- Connect the electrical connector to the A/C compressor.
- Secure the wiring harness clip to the A/C compressor.

CAUTION:
Make sure the 4 new O-ring seals are installed.
NOTE:
Lubricate the O-ring seals with clean refrigerant oil.

- Install the ground cable to the A/C compressor.
- Install and tighten the nut.
Torque: 9Nm
- Install the 3 wiring harness clips to the 2 A/C pipes and the A/C
compressor.
4.
CAUTION:
Make sure that the accessory drive belt is correctly located on each pulley.
- Install the accessory drive belt.
- Use a suitable tool to hold the accessory drive belt tensioner.
- Remove the tensioner locking tool.
- Tension the accessory drive belt.
5.
- Install the charge air cooler bracket.
- Install and tighten the 2 bolts.
Torque: 40Nm
- Install and tighten the 2 nuts.
Torque: 10Nm
- Secure the 2 wiring harnesses to the bracket at 4 clips.
6. Install the charge air cooler.
7. Connect the startup battery ground cable.
8. Recharge the A/C system to the correct specification.

- The Ambient Air Temperature (AAT) sensor is an integral part of the
left door mirror and cannot be
removed. A new door mirror must be installed.
1. Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
2. Remove the left door mirror.
INSTALLATION
1. Install the left door mirror.
2. Connect the startup battery ground cable.

PASSIVE START SYSTEM
The RFA prompts each of the internal LF antennas to output a signal. When the
smart key is in the passenger
compartment, the smart key detects the LF signals. The smart key responds with a
data identification signal back to
the RF receiver. The RF receiver sends the data ident
