REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

REMOVAL
WARNINGS:
- To avoid accidental deployment, the Restraints Control Module (RCM)
backup power supply must be
depleted. Wait at least 1 minutes after disconnecting the startup battery
ground cable(s) before doing any
repair or adjustment to the Supplementary Restraint System (SRS), or any
component(s) adjacent to the
SRS sensors. Failure to following these instructions may result in personal
injury.
- Do not probe the SRS electrical connectors.
NOTE:
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components
removed to provide extra clarity.
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending
on the vehicle specification, but the
essential information is always correct.
1. Remove the front row seatbelt buckle.
2. Remove the front row seat cushion cover.
3. Make the SRS system safe.

- Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.
- Release the 2 wiring harness clips.
- Release the wiring harness clip from the seat base.
5.
- Release the 4 clips.
- Remove the front seat base.
6.
Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.
7.
Remove the bolt.
8.
Release the wiring harness clip.
9.
- Remove the 3 bolts.
- Remove the side trim panel bracket.
10.
- Remove and discard the 4 bolts.
- Reposition the wiring harness away from the seat base.
- Remove the front seat track motor assembly.
INSTALLATION
1.

- Install the side trim panel bracket.
- Install and tighten the 3 bolts.
3. Install the wiring harness clip.
4. Install and tighten the bolt.
5. Connect the 2 electrical connectors.
6.
- Install the front seat base.
- Install the 4 clips.
7.
- Release the 2 wiring harness clips.
- Install the wiring harness clip to the seat base.
- Install the 2 wiring harness clips.
- Connect the 2 electrical connectors.
8. Install the front row seat cushion cover.
9. Install the front row seatbelt buckle.
