REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
GENERAL EQUIPMENT
REMOVAL
WARNINGS:
NOTES:
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending
on the vehicle specification, but the
essential information is always correct.
- This procedure contains illustrations for left hand drive vehicles,
right hand drive vehicles are similar.
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components
removed to provide extra clarity.
The following step(s) applies to:
All vehicles
1. Move the front row seat forward.
2. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
3. To avoid accidental deployment, wait at least 1 minutes after you
disconnect the startup battery ground
cable.
The following step(s) applies to:
Vehicles without power seats

Release the 11 clips and remove the trim panel.

Release the 11 clips and remove the trim panel as illustrated.
The following step(s) applies to:
All vehicles

- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove the access cover.
7.
- Remove the bolt.
- Release the front row seatbelt pretensioner.
8.
- Remove the bolt.
- Remove the bracket.
9.
CAUTION:
Make sure that the plastic pin should not be removed from the webbing loop.
Remove the front row seatbelt pretensioner from the front row seatbelt.
INSTALLATION
The following step(s) applies to:
All vehicles
1. Install the front row seatbelt pretensioner to the front row seatbelt.
2.
- Install the bracket.
- Install and tighten the bolt.
Torque: 4Nm
3.
- Install the front row seatbelt pretensioner to the front row seat.
- Install and tighten the bolt.
Torque: 40Nm
- Connect the electrical connector.
4. Install the access cover.
The following step(s) applies to:
Vehicles without power seats
5. Install the trim panel.
The following step(s) applies to:
Vehicles with power seats
6. Install the trim panel.
The following step(s) applies to:
All vehicles
7. Connect the startup battery ground cable.
8. Reposition the front row seat.
9. If a new component has been installed, configure that component with the
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR)
approved diagnostic equipment.

Complete step only for vehicles with 110 wheelbase.
Vehicles with 110 wheelbase only. Use appropriate tooling to cut away the 2
arrowed metal strips.
Removing the metal strips will make drilling the 2 holes in step 3
