Land Rover Defender: Instrument Panel Upper Trim

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

REMOVAL

WARNING:

CAUTION: Do not use excessive force to remove the component. Make sure that all fixings are fully released.

NOTE:

1. Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.

2. Remove the Steering Column.

3. Remove the Instrument Panel Cluster Control Module (IPC).

4. Remove the instrument panel lower trim panel.

NOTE: Repeat the step for the other side.

Remove the A-pillar trim panel.

6. Remove the instrument panel bass speaker.

Instrument Panel Upper Trim

Remove the screw.

Instrument Panel Upper Trim

Remove the screw.

Instrument Panel Upper Trim

Instrument Panel Upper Trim

Remove the screw.

Instrument Panel Upper Trim

Remove the screw.

Instrument Panel Upper Trim

Remove the 2 drivers side instrument panel upper screws.

Instrument Panel Upper Trim

Remove the 2 passenger side instrument panel upper screws.

Remove the 4 support bracket screws.

CAUTION: Take extra care not to damage the component.

INSTALLATION

1.

NOTE: Only do step 1 to 6 if the components were previously removed.

CAUTION: Make sure the wiring harness and electrical connectors are not damaged during this operation.

16. Install and tighten the 2 instrument panel upper trim panel screws.

Torque: 12Nm

17. Install the instrument panel bass speaker.

18.

NOTE: Repeat the step for the other side.

Install the A-pillar trim panel.

19. Install the instrument panel lower trim panel.

20. Install the IPC.

21. Install the steering column.

22. Connect the startup battery ground cable.
