Land Rover Defender: Air Line Connector
GENERAL PROCEDURES
ACTIVATION
CAUTIONS:
- Before disconnecting any components, make sure the area is clean and
free from foreign material. When
disconnected all openings must be sealed.
- Make sure the correct size and type of air line connector is
installed.
- Do not reuse the air line connector. Always install a new air line
connector every time it is released.
1.
CAUTION:
Attempting to slide the collet from the air line will result in damage, make
sure not to damage the
airline.
Use a suitable tool to remove the collet as illustrated.
2.
Remove the air line connector from the air line.
3.
Install and fully tighten the new air line connector to the correct
component's torque.
4.
Remove the blanking cap from the air line connector.
5.
CAUTIONS:
- Make sure that the component is clean and free from foreign material.
- After the push-in process the lower of the two white insertion
markings on the air line must not
be visible.
- Push the air line into the air line connector as far as it will go.
- Pull back on the air line ensuring connection of air line to air line
connector is secure.
