Land Rover Defender: Anti-Theft Alarm Horn With Integral Battery
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
REMOVAL
NOTE:

on the vehicle specification, but the

- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components
removed to provide extra clarity.
The following step(s) applies to:
All vehicles
1. Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
2. Remove the secondary bulkhead right panel.
The following step(s) applies to:
Left-hand drive vehicles
3. Remove the Engine Junction Box (EJB).
4.
Reposition the wiring harness to get access to the Battery Back-Up Sounder
(BBUS).
5.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Release the clip.
6.
- Remove the 2 nuts.
- Remove the BBUS from the bracket.
The following step(s) applies to:
Right-hand drive vehicles
7. Remove the Integrated Power Brake.
8.
Disconnect the electrical connector.
9.
- Remove the 2 nuts.
- Remove the BBUS from the bracket.
INSTALLATION
The following step(s) applies to:
Right-hand drive vehicles
1.
- Install the Battery Back-Up Sounder (BBUS) to the bracket.
- Install and tighten the 2 nuts.
Torque: 7Nm
- Connect the BBUS electrical connector.
2. Install the Integrated Power Brake.
The following step(s) applies to:
Left-hand drive vehicles
3.
- Install the BBUS to the bracket.
- Install and tighten the 2 nuts.
Torque: 7Nm
4.
- Connect the BBUS electrical connector.
- Install the wiring harness clip.
5. Reposition the wiring harness in the correct location.
6. Install the Engine Junction Box (EJB).
The following step(s) applies to:
All vehicles
7. Install the secondary bulkhead right panel.
8. Connect the startup battery ground cable.
