Land Rover Defender: C-Pillar Trim Panel - 90
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
REMOVAL
NOTE:
- This procedure contains illustrations for left side components, right
side components are similar.
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending
on the vehicle specification, but the
essential information is always correct.
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components
removed to provide extra clarity.
1.
NOTE:
The step must be completed on both sides.
Position the front row seat forward.
2. Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
3.
- Release the 4 fasteners.
- Release the second row seat cushion.
- Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.
- Release the 2 wiring harness clips.
- Remove the second row seat cushion.
4.
- Remove the nut.
- Reposition the second row seatbelt.
5.
- Release the 7 clips.
- Remove the loadspace upper trim panel.
6. Remove the loadspace side trim panel.
7.
- Release the 5 clips.
- Remove the C-pillar trim panel.
INSTALLATION
1.
NOTE:
Make sure that the trim is correctly installed to the clips.
- Install the C-Pillar trim panel.
- Install the 5 clips.
2. Install the loadspace side trim panel.
3.
- Install the loadspace upper trim panel.
- Install the 7 clips.
4.
Reposition the tailgate aperture seal into the correct location.
5. Install and tighten the second row seatbelt anchor nut.
Torque: 40Nm
6.
- Connect the 2 seat cushion heating element electrical connectors.
- Install the 2 wiring harness clips.
- Install the second row seat cushion.
7. Connect the startup battery ground cable.
8.
NOTE:
The step must be completed on both sides.
Reposition the front row seat to original position.
