FRONT EXPEDITION PROTECTION SYSTEM - PART NUMBER: VPLEP0386
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
WARNING:
Accessories which are not correctly installed can be dangerous. Read the
instructions carefully prior to
installation. Comply with instructions at all times. If in doubt, contact your
nearest approved retailer.
CAUTIONS:
- For Dynamic and X-Dynamic vehicles the prepared chrome front bumper
protector (VPLEB0441) must be
ordered. The chrome front bumper protector is cut in preparation for use
with the front expedition
protection system.
- The existing vehicle license plate plinth cannot be installed to the
front expedition protection system. A
new license plate plinth must be ordered that can be installed to the front
expedition protection system.
- The correct license plate plinth for the vehicle market must be
ordered.
- The camera mounting kit (VPLEB0437) must be ordered if required.
- The 2 front center parking aid sensors get removed from the front
bumper and then installed to the 'A'
frame protection bar element of the front expedition protection system.
NOTES:
- The license plate plinth kits (VPLEB0434), (VPLEB0435) or
(VPLEB0436), the camera mounting kit
(VPLEB0437), the prepared chrome front bumper protector (VPLEB0441) and the
ceres silver parking aid
sensors (LR138717) are not included in the front expedition protection
system kit (VPLEP0386). These
parts must only be ordered if required.
- The variant of the license plate plinth kit that must be ordered is
dependent on the vehicle market.
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending
on the vehicle specification, but the
essential information is always correct.
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components
removed to provide extra clarity.
- This procedure contains illustrations for left side components, right
side components are similar.
- The contents of the front expedition protection system kit
(VPLEP0386) are shown in the 3 parts images
shown below.
