Land Rover Defender: Front Row Center Seat
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
REMOVAL
WARNINGS:
- To avoid accidental deployment, the Restraints Control Module (RCM)
backup power supply must be
depleted. Wait at least 1 minute after disconnecting the startup battery
ground cable(s) before doing any
repair or adjustment to the Supplementary Restraint System (SRS), or any
component(s) adjacent to the
SRS sensors. Failure to following these instructions may result in personal
injury.
- Do not probe the SRS electrical connectors.
NOTE:
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components
removed to provide extra clarity.
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending
on the vehicle specification, but the
essential information is always correct.
1. Remove both front row seats.
2.
NOTE:
Repeat the step for the other side.
- Release the trim panel from the 3 clips.
- Release the trim panel from the 4 clips.
- Remove the center seat trim panel.
3.
Remove the 6 bolts.
4.
Carefully tip the front row center seat.
5.
- Release the wiring harness clip.
- Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.
6.
WARNING:
This step requires the aid of another technician.
Remove the front row center seat.
INSTALLATION
1.
WARNING:
This step requires the aid of another technician.
Install the front row center seat.
2. Carefully tip the front row center seat.
3.
- Install the wiring harness clip.
- Connect the 2 electrical connectors.
4. Install and tighten the 6 bolts.
Torque: 48Nm
5.
NOTE:
Repeat the step for the other side.
- Install the trim panel to the 4 clips.
- Install the trim panel to the 3 clips.
- Install the center seat trim panel.
6. Install both front row seats.
