side components are similar.
1. Before handling any components within the SRS, make sure that the safety
guidelines are followed.
2. To avoid accidental deployment, wait at least 1 minute after you
disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
3. Remove the front row seat.
4. Remove the rear treadplate.
5.
- Remove the seatbelt upper anchor bolt.
- Remove the seatbelt guide bolt.
- Release the seatbelt guide from the B-pillar.
6.
- Release the 2 clips.
- Reposition the front floor carpet to get access to the front row
seatbelt retractor.
7.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove and discard the bolt.
- Remove the front row seatbelt retractor.
8.
CAUTION:
Only complete the following step(s) if a new component is to be installed.
NOTE:
If equipped.
- Remove the bolt.
- Remove the locking bracket.
9.
CAUTION:
Do not remove the pin from the seatbelt.
NOTE:
If equipped
- Release the pin and seatbelt from the pretensioner.
- Release the front row seatbelt.
INSTALLATION
1.
CAUTION:
Only complete the following step(s) if the component was previously removed.
NOTE:
If equipped.
- Install the front row seatbelt.
- Install the pin and seatbelt to the pretensioner.
2.
NOTE:
If equipped.
- Install the locking bracket.
- Install and tighten the bolt.
Torque: 4.1Nm
3.
CAUTION:
Make sure that the component is correctly located.
4.
- Reposition the front floor carpet to the correct location.
- Install the 2 clips.
5.
- Install the front row seatbelt guide onto the B-pillar.
- Install and tighten the front row seatbelt guide bolt.
Torque: 9Nm
- Install the front row seatbelt upper anchor.
- Tighten the front row seatbelt upper anchor bolt.
Torque: 40Nm
6. Install the rear treadplate.
