MOBILE PHONE SYSTEM

Mobile Phone

The IGM / ICCM is located below the front row seat - Left.

The IGM / ICCM is connected to the FCDIM with an Automotive Pixel Link2 (APIX2) connection. The IGM / ICCM is also connected to the AAM with a BroadR-Reach ethernet connection.

The IGM / ICCM supports the Bluetooth mobile phone functionality and audio streaming. Bluetooth mobile phone software is located within the IGM / ICCM. The software within the IGM / ICCM processes the Bluetooth wireless signals from the users Bluetooth mobile phone. The software allows audio output, voice input and data display on the FCDIM.

A Bluetooth/WiFi antenna is located behind the center of the instrument panel. The Bluetooth antenna is connected directly to the IGM / ICCM.

NOTE: The Bluetooth/WiFi antenna functions as a Bluetooth or WiFi antenna depending upon system usage at the time.

BLUETOOTH SYSTEM

Bluetooth wireless technology allows electronic devices to communicate wirelessly through a short-range Radio Frequency (RF) network. Bluetooth wireless technology can simultaneously handle data and voice transmissions.

The purpose is to allow the vehicle Bluetooth mobile phone system to provide hands-free operation of the users Bluetooth mobile phone.

The Bluetooth system supports:

Up to 2 mobile phones or a media device can be connected simultaneously for different uses. When 2 mobile phones are connected, both can be used for the mobile phone system. Only 1 can be used for the media system at any time.

Only 1 can be used while in a call at any time, when using the vehicle mobile phone system.

MICROPHONE

The directional type microphones are located in the headliner. The purpose is to make sure that the microphones are directed towards the driver and the passengers.

The microphones are connected to the AAM for hands-free telephony and voice control systems. The audio is then passed to the IGM / ICCM which passes the audio to the mobile phone through the Bluetooth. The AAM has an integrated noise suppression and echo cancellation system for hands-free mobile phone use.

LEFT STEERING WHEEL SWITCH

The left steering wheel switch is located on the left of the steering wheel. The switches are capacitive touch switches which apply a different voltage to the left steering wheel switch in response to different switches being pressed. The left steering wheel switch sends the Local Interconnect Network (LIN) messages to the IGM / ICCM through the Steering Wheel Module (SWM).

NOTE: The selections with the left steering wheel switch control are displayed in the IPC message center.

Mobile Phone

The wireless device charger is located in the center of the floor console.

The wireless device charger has the following connections:

The wireless device charger receives a power supply from the Passenger Junction Box (PJB). The power supply is available in Power Mode 4 (accessory (vehicle unlocked and Smart Key present) ) and above.

The wireless device charger is connected to the HS CAN body systems bus for diagnostic checks and communication messages.

During a Passive Entry Passive Start (PEPS) system scan the wireless device charger turns OFF to prevent interference.
