Land Rover Defender: Passenger Junction Box
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
REMOVAL
NOTE:
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending
on the vehicle specification, but the

- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components
removed to provide extra clarity.
- Reft Hand Drive (RHD) illustration(s) shown, Light Hand Drive (LHD)
is similar.
1. Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
2. Remove the A-pillar lower trim panel.
3.
Use a suitable tool to release the footwell lamp.
4.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove the footwell lamp.
5.
- Remove the 3 bolts.
- Release the 2 clips.
- Remove the passenger side footwell trim panel.
6.
- Remove the nut.
- Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors from the Passenger Junction Box (PJB).
7.
Release the 2 grommets.
8.
NOTE:
Note the position of the electrical connectors.
- Release the 2 wiring harness clips.
- Disconnect the 12 electrical connectors from the PJB.
- Remove the PJB.
INSTALLATION
1.
CAUTION:
Make sure the electrical connectors are installed in the correct position.
- Install the 12 electrical connectors to Passenger Junction Box (PJB).
- Install the 2 wiring harness clips.
- Install the PJB.
2. Install the 2 PJB grommets.
3.
- Install and tighten the PJB nut.
Torque: 5.4Nm
- Connect the 2 electrical connectors to PJB.
4.
- Install the passenger side footwell trim panel.
- Install the 2 clips.
- Install and tighten the 3 bolts.
Torque: 5Nm
5.
- Connect the electrical connector to the footwell lamp.
- Install the footwell lamp.
6. Install the A-pillar lower trim panel.
7. Connect the startup battery ground cable.
