REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

WARNING:
Accessories which are not correctly installed can be dangerous. Read the
instructions carefully prior to
installation. Comply with instructions at all times. If in doubt, contact your
nearest approved retailer.
CAUTIONS:
- The winch cover kit (VPLEP0428) is not part of the winch mounting kit
(VPLEP0427 / VPLEP0489). This
part must be ordered separately.
- 2 black parking aid sensors (LR137889) must be ordered to complete
the winch cover installation.
- The crush cans (VPLEP0431) are not included in the winch mounting kit
(VPLEP0427 / VPLEP0489).
- These parts must be ordered separately.
- The front proximity camera mounting kit (VPLEB0437) must be ordered
if required.
- The winch (VPLEP0426) is not part of the winch mounting kit
(VPLEP0427 / VPLEP0489). This part must
be ordered separately.
- Installation of Winch Mounting Kit VPLEP0427 to Plug-in Hybrid
Electric Vehicle (PHEV)vehicles will
require the sounder link harness which is only available as part of
VPLEP0426 Remote Electric Winch kit.
NOTES:
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending
on the vehicle specification, but the
essential information is always correct.
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components
removed to provide extra clarity.
- This procedure contains illustrations for left side components, right
side components are similar.
- Winch mounting kit (VPLEP0427 / VPLEP0489)
NOTES:
- Fixings for winch mounting (VPLEP0427 / VPLEP0489)
- 2x Q1 and 2x L1 from (VPLEP0427) will need to be discarded as these
are replaced by SS1 and SS2 to
be used in Step 11 only.
NOTES:
- Winch cover kit (VPLEP0428)
- 2 black parking aid sensors (LR137889) must be ordered separately to
complete the winch cover
installation.
NOTE:
Crush cans (VPLEP0431)
NOTE:
For Dynamic and X-Dynamic vehicles the following parts are required to be
ordered separately. LR129440 to
be painted after modification.

For vehicles installed with pusher fan, unplug and route harness from the fan
inside the ducting. The
harness will be secured to the winch cradle.
