Land Rover Defender: Canvas Roof Air Deflector
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
REMOVAL
WARNING:
Make sure the ignition is OFF before carrying out this procedure.
NOTES:
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending
on the vehicle specification, but the
essential information is always correct.
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components
removed to provide extra clarity.
1.
Open the canvas foof.
2.
- Release the 2 springs from the 2 clips.
- Release the air deflector frame from the 2 retainers as illustrated.
3.
CAUTION:
Take extra care not to damage the component.
- Use a suitable plastic tool, release the net from the 19 clips.
- Remove the canvas roof air deflector.
4.
NOTES:
- If a new component will be install.
- Repeat this step for the other side.
Remove the canvas roof air deflector bearing as illustrated.
INSTALLATION
1.
NOTE:
If a new component will be install.
Install the 2 canvas roof air deflector bearings.
2.
CAUTION:
Take extra care not to damage the component.
- Install the canvas roof air deflector.
- Use a suitable plastic tool, install the net to the 19 clips.
3.
- Install the air deflector frame to the 2 retainers.
- Install the 2 springs to the 2 clips.
4. Test the functionality of the air deflector by hand first.
5. Close the canvas roof.
