Land Rover Defender: Differential Front Left Bush
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

REMOVAL
NOTE:

- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending
on the vehicle specification, but the
essential information is always correct.
1. Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
2. Remove the differential.
3.
NOTE:
- Left side shown, right side similar.
- Repeat the step for the other side.
Remove and discard the 2 steering gear retaining bolts.
4.
Reposition the steering gear away from the front subframe.
5.
Remove the front differential bush.
INSTALLATION
1. Install the front differential bush.
2. Reposition the steering gear in the original position.
3. Install and tighten the 2 new steering gear bolts.
Renew Part: Steering gear bolts Quantity: 2.
Torque
- Stage1: 100Nm
- Stage2: 240º
4. Install the differential.
