REMOVAL

CAUTION: Before disconnecting any components, make sure the area is clean and free from foreign material. When disconnected all openings must be sealed.

NOTE:

1.

NOTE: If equipped.

Use the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) approved diagnostic equipment to depressurize the air suspension.

2. Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

3. Remove the wheel and tire.

4.

WARNING: This step requires the aid of another technician.

Use a suitable stand to support the lower arm.

General Equipment: Vehicle/axle stands

Loosen, but do not fully remove the tie-rod end nut.

Remove and discard the upper arm ball joint nut and bolt.

Front Left Halfshaft

Use the special tool to release the upper arm ball joint.

Special Tool(s): JLR-204-803

13.

Front Left Halfshaft

Install the special tools.

Special Tool(s): 204-506/1, 204-506/2, 204-506/3, 204-506/5

Front Left Halfshaft

Use the special tool to release the halfshaft.

15. Remove the special tools.

Special Tool(s): 204-506/1, 204-506/2, 204-506/3, 204-506/5

CAUTION:

Front Left Halfshaft

Remove the halfshaft from the differential.

Front Left Halfshaft

Remove and discard the halfshaft circlip.

INSTALLATION

1.

Front Left Halfshaft

Install a new circlip to the halfshaft.

Renew Part: Circlip Quantity: 1.

2. Clean and inspect the seal. Replace if damaged or worn.

3.

CAUTION: Take extra care not to damage the seal.

Install the halfshaft.

4. Install the halfshaft into the wheel knuckle.

Remove the supporting stand from under the lower arm.

11. Install the wheel and tire.

NOTE: If equipped.
