Front Wheel Speed Sensor
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
REMOVAL
NOTES:
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components
removed to provide extra clarity.
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending
on the vehicle specification, but the
essential information is always correct.
- This procedure contains illustrations for left side components, right
side components are similar.
1. Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2-post lift.
2. Remove the front wheel arch liner.
3.
- Release the 5 grommets.
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Remove the heatshield.
4.
- Release the electrical connector.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the front wheel speed sensor.
- Remove the bolt.
- Remove the front wheel speed sensor.
INSTALLATION
1.
CAUTION:
Make sure that the sensor tip is clean and free of foreign material.
- Install the front wheel speed sensor.
- Install and tighten the bolt.
Torque: 9Nm
- Connect the electrical connector to the front wheel speed sensor.
- Install the electrical connector.
2.
- Install the 5 grommets.
- Install the heatshield.
- Install and tighten the 2 bolts.
Torque: 9Nm
3. Install the front wheel arch liner.
Rear Wheel Speed Sensor

1. Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2-post lift.
2. Remove the rear wheel and tire.
3.
- Release the electrical connector.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the rear wheel speed sensor.
- Release the 3 grommets.
- Remove the bolt.
- Remove the rear wheel speed sensor.
INSTALLATION
1.
CAUTION:
Make sure that the sensor tip is clean and free of foreign material.
- Install the rear wheel speed sensor.
- Install and tighten the bolt.
Torque: 9Nm
- Install the 3 grommets.
- Connect the electrical connector to the rear wheel speed sensor.
- Install the electrical connector.
2. Install the rear wheel and tire.
