DRAINING

WARNING: Be prepared to collect escaping fuel.

CAUTION: Before disconnecting any components, make sure the area is clean and free from foreign material. When disconnected all openings must be sealed.

NOTE:

1. Always follow the fuel system health and safety precautions when doing any repairs to the fuel system.

2. Open the fuel flap and remove the cap.

3. Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.

4. Remove the second row seat.

Reposition the carpet for access.

Disconnect the 2 fuel pump module electrical connectors.

Fuel Tank Draining

Disconnect the breather pipe.

Fuel Tank Draining

Disconnect the 2 fuel pipes.

Fuel Tank Draining

Use the special tool to remove the fuel pump module retaining ring.

Special Tool(s): 310-123

Note the position of the fuel pump module before removal.

CAUTION: Take care not to damage the fuel tank internal components.

FILLING

1. Remove the fuel tank draining equipment from the fuel tank.

4. Connect the 2 fuel pipes.

5. Connect the breather pipe.

6. Connect the 2 fuel pump module electrical connectors.

8. Reposition the carpet.

9. Install the second row seat.
