Land Rover Defender: Glovebox
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
REMOVAL
CAUTION:
Do not use excessive force to remove the component. Make sure that all fixings
are fully released.
NOTE:
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components

- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending
on the vehicle specification, but the
essential information is always correct.
- Make sure that the retaining clips are correctly installed.
1. Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
2.
Use a suitable tool to release the footwell lamp.
3.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove the footwell lamp.
4.
- Remove the 3 bolts.
- Release the 2 clips.
- Remove the instrument panel lower trim.
5.
- Remove the 4 bolts.
- Remove the instrument panel passenger side trim.
6.
Remove the bolt.
7.
- Release the 10 clips.
- Remove the instrument panel trim.
8.
Open the glovebox lid.
9.
Remove the 2 bolts.
10.
- Remove the 5 bolts.
- Release the 3 clips.
- Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.
- Remove the glovebox.
INSTALLATION
1.
- Connect the 2 electrical connectors.
- Install the 3 clips.
- Install the glovebox.
- Install and tighten the 5 bolts.
Torque: 2.5Nm
2. Install and tighten the 2 bolts.
Torque: 2.5Nm
3. Close the glovebox lid.
4.
- Install the instrument panel trim.
- Install the 10 clips.
- Install and tighten the bolt.
Torque: 1.7Nm
5.
- install the trim on to the side of the instrument panel.
- Install and tighten the 4 bolts.
Torque: 2.5Nm
6.
- Install the trim below the glovebox
- Install the 2 clips.
- Install and tighten the 3 bolts.
Torque: 5Nm
7.
- Connect the electrical connector.
- Install the footwell lamp.
8. Connect the startup battery ground cable.
