Land Rover Defender: Loadspace Rubber Mat

LOADSPACE RUBBER MAT - PART NUMBER: 90: VPLES0566, 110: VPLES0565

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

WARNING: Accessories which are not correctly installed can be dangerous. Read the instructions carefully prior to installation. Comply with instructions at all times. If in doubt, contact your nearest approved retailer.

NOTES:

Loadspace Rubber Mat

NOTE: VPLES0566 for vehicles with 90 wheelbase.

Loadspace Rubber Mat

INSTALLATION

1.

Loadspace Rubber Mat

Open the tailgate.

2. Remove the loadspace cover from the vehicle.

3. If access to the D-loop anchor points is not required then install the loadspace rubber mat (A) into the vehicle loadspace.

4.

CAUTION: Take care not to close the tailgate when the bumper protector is installed.

NOTE: When not in use store the bumper protector inside the loadspace.

Loadspace Rubber Mat

Install the rear bumper protector if required.

  1. Position the rear bumper protector (B) as illustrated.
  2. Using the 4 press studs, engage the loadspace rubber mat to the bumper protector.

NOTES:

Loadspace Rubber Mat

If access to the D-loop anchor points is required then complete the appropriate steps.

WARNING: Make sure that protective gloves are worn.

NOTE: For vehicles with 90 wheelbase.

Loadspace Rubber Mat

If access to the fixed or sliding D-loop anchor points is required, then trim the 2 cutouts from the loadspace rubber mat as illustrated.

7.

WARNING: Make sure to wear suitable personal protective equipment.

NOTE: For vehicles with 110 wheelbase.

Loadspace Rubber Mat

If access to the fixed or sliding D-loop anchor points is required then trim the 4 cutouts from the loadspace rubber mat as illustrated.

NOTES:

Loadspace Rubber Mat

Move the sliding D-loop anchor points to the ends of the loadspace rails.

9.

Loadspace Rubber Mat

Install the loadspace rubber mat into the vehicle loadspace.

10.

Loadspace Rubber Mat

Make sure the loadspace rubber mat does not obstruct the 4 fixed or the 4 sliding D-loop anchor points.

WARNING: Make sure to wear suitable personal protective equipment.

CAUTION: When the 2 side sections have been trimmed from the loadspace rubber mat, the loadspace rails are no longer protected and could be damaged.

NOTES:

Loadspace Rubber Mat

Trim the 2 side sections from the loadspace rubber mat, as illustrated, if the sliding D-loop anchor points are installed and they are required to move along the loadspace rails.

12.

Loadspace Rubber Mat

Install the loadspace rubber mat into the vehicle loadspace. Move the sliding D-loop anchor points along the loadspace rails as required.

13.

Loadspace Rubber Mat

Make sure that the loadspace rubber mat is correctly installed.

NOTES:

Loadspace Rubber Mat

Complete steps 15 to 18 if the loadspace rubber mat and the loadspace partition will both be installed.

NOTE: Complete step if the loadspace partition and the loadspace rubber mat are both being installed in a loadspace configured with sliding D-loop anchor points.

Loadspace Rubber Mat

Remove the 2 sliding D-loop anchor points nearest to the second row seats.

WARNING: Make sure to wear suitable personal protective equipment.

CAUTION: The loadspace rubber mat must only be cut, as illustrated, if the loadspace rubber mat will be used with the full height or half height loadspace partition.

Loadspace Rubber Mat

Trim the cutouts from the loadspace rubber mat, as illustrated, if the loadspace rubber mat will be used with the full height or half height loadspace partition.

  1. Trim the 2 cutouts.
  2. Trim the 2 cutouts only if access to the D-loop anchor points nearest the tailgate is also required.

17.

Loadspace Rubber Mat

Install the loadspace rubber mat into the vehicle loadspace.

18.

Loadspace Rubber Mat

Install the loadspace partition.

  1. Make sure the loadspace rubber mat does not obstruct the brackets for the loadspace partition.
  2. Make sure the loadspace rubber mat does not obstruct the D-loop anchor points if access required.

19. Install the loadspace cover.

20. Close the tailgate.
