Land Rover Defender: Portable Rinse System

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

WARNING: Accessories which are not properly installed can be dangerous. Read the instructions carefully prior to installation. Comply with instructions at all times. If in doubt, contact your nearest approved retailer.

WARNING: Do not pressurise above 60 PSI.

CAUTIONS:

NOTE: It is recommended to fill the Portable rinse system using an external tap with a quick connect outlet.

INSTALLATION

1.

Portable Rinse System

To store the portable rinse system attach it to the vehicle using a loadspace D-loop anchor point.

Uncoil the hose.

Turn off the flow valve when removing the hose from the nozzle.

When filling the portable rinse system with the hose, turn the flow valve on after connecting to the external tap.

Reconnect the nozzle.

Alternatively to top up the portable rinse system from an external tap remove the fill cap.

Fill with an external tap.

Check the water level with your finger.

Replace the cap. Tighten fully.

If the pressure gauge shows any pressure, reset the portable rinse system tank pressure by depressing the button on the hand pump.

NOTE: Approximately 150 full pumps.

Using the hand pump increase pressure to at least 2 bar.

15. The portable rinse system is now ready to use.

NOTES:

Portable Rinse System

To use the rinse system:

  1. Turn on the hose flow valve.
  2. Rotate the nozzle ring to change to the desired spray setting.
  3. Depress the hose head handle.
  4. Rotate the screw on the rear of the hose head to adjust the flow rate.

Portable Rinse System

To empty the portable rinse system:

  1. Remove the nozzle and turn on the flow valve.
  2. Remove the fill cap.
  3. Uncoil the hose and tilt the rinse system.

Portable Rinse System

When finished using the portable rinse system, remove the nozzle from the hose and depress the handle several times to clear any residual water in the nozzle.
