REMOVAL
WARNING:
Be prepared to collect escaping oil.
NOTE:
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending
on the vehicle specification, but the
essential information is always correct.
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components
removed to provide extra clarity.
1. Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
2. Remove the wheel knuckle.
3.
CAUTION:
Take care not to damage the halfshaft seal.
Remove the rear halfshaft.
4.
Remove and discard the circlip.
INSTALLATION
1. Renew the circlip.
2.
Clean and inspect the seal. Replace if damaged or worn.
3. Use a suitable seal protector during the installation of the halfshaft.
4.
CAUTION:
Make sure that the rear halfshaft circlip is installed correctly by pulling the
halfshaft gently to make
sure it is engaged.
Install the rear halfshaft.
5. Install the wheel knuckle.
6. Check the differential oil level and top up if necessary

WARNINGS:
There are 2 types of Roof Rails (VPLER0176 and VPLER0190) for 90
wheel base, see illustrations
below showing the difference between the 2 versions.
When VPLER0176 Roof Rails are installed in conjunction with the
Deployable Roof Ladder, the
Expedition Roof Rack and rear Roof Cro
