Land Rover Defender: Rear Parking Aid Sensor

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

REMOVAL

NOTES:

1. Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2-post lift.

2. With assistance, remove the rear bumper.

3.

NOTE: The following 2 steps show the rear inner parking aid sensor only.

Rear Parking Aid Sensor

Disconnect the electrical connector from the rear inner parking aid sensor.

Rear Parking Aid Sensor

Release the 2 clips and remove the rear inner parking aid sensor.

5.

NOTE: The following 2 steps show the rear outer parking aid sensor only.

Rear Parking Aid Sensor

Disconnect the electrical connector from the rear outer parking aid sensor.

6.

Rear Parking Aid Sensor

Release the 2 clips and remove the rear outer parking aid sensor.

INSTALLATION

CAUTIONS:

1.

NOTE: The following 2 steps show the rear inner parking aid sensor only.

Check the paint layer of the rear inner parking aid sensor.

CAUTIONS:

Before installing the rear inner parking aid sensor, check the condition and the position of the ring.

NOTE: The following 2 steps show the rear outer parking aid sensor only.

Check the paint layer of the rear outer parking aid sensor.

CAUTIONS:

Rear Parking Aid Sensor

Before installing the rear outer parking aid sensor, check the condition and the position of the ring.

5.

NOTE: Make sure that the rear parking aid sensor is correctly located to the bracket. Audible clicks will be heard to confirm connection.

6. With assistance, install the rear bumper.
