REMOVAL

CAUTION: Take extra care not to damage the component surface, failure to follow this instruction may result in corrosion.

NOTES:

1. Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2-post lift.

2. Remove the rear subframe.

3.

NOTE: Note the orientation of the bush, before removal.

Mark the position of the rear subframe bush.

4.

CAUTION: The bush flanges need to be removed to allow bush removal.

Remove the rear subframe bush flanges as shown.

5.

CAUTION: Make sure that the special tool is correctly located.

Use the special tool to remove the rear subframe bush.

Special Tool(s): 204-598, JLR-502-016, JLR-502-017

INSTALLATION

1.

NOTE: Make sure the bush is correctly oriented.

Rear Subframe Bush

Check the orientation of the bush.

2.

CAUTIONS:

Rear Subframe Bush

Use the special tools to install the rear subframe bush.

Special Tool(s): 204-598, JLR-502-018, JLR-502-019

3. Install the rear subframe.

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION REMOVAL NOTES: This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct. This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity. 1.

 Wiper operation

Do not operate the wipers on a dry windshield as the wipers may cause damage to its surface. Remove any snow, ice, or frost from the windshield, around the wiper arms and blades, and the cowl area, before operating the wipers. Failure to do so can damage the wiper arms, blades and the windshield.
