REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

REMOVAL

WARNING:

CAUTION: Make sure the steering wheel is in the straight ahead position.

NOTE:

1. Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.

2. Remove the driver airbag.

Disconnect the electrical connector.

Remove the bolt.

NOTE: Note the orientation of the component prior to removal.

Remove the steering wheel.

Use 2 tapes to retain the clockspring.

NOTE: Only perform the following step(s) if a new component is to be installed.

INSTALLATION

1.

NOTE: Steps 1 to 6 are only required if the components were previously removed.

7. Remove the 2 tapes from the clockspring.

NOTE: Make sure that the component is installed to the noted removal position.

9. Install the driver airbag.

10. Connect the startup battery ground cable.

11. If a new component has been installed, use the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) approved diagnostic equipment to configure.

Make sure the areas around air intakes and the front grille are clean and clear of debris. Pay particular attention to the lower grille and radiator. Failure to do so may cause the engine to overheat, leading to severe engine damage. Make sure the vehicle's underbody is cleaned as soon as possible
