Land Rover Defender: Third Row Seat Cushion Cover
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

REMOVAL
NOTE:
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending
on the vehicle specification, but the
essential information is always correct.
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components
removed to provide extra clarity.
1. Remove the third row seat.
2.
Disconnect the seat cushion heater element electrical connector.
3.
Release the 2 seat base clips.
4.
Release the 8 seat cushion cover clips.
5.
NOTE:
Do not disassemble further if component if removed for access only.
Remove the third row seat cushion cover assembly.
6.
Use a suitable tool to remove and discard the 7 hog rings.
7.
Remove the third row seat cushion cover.
INSTALLATION
1.
NOTE:
Steps 1 to 3 are only required if the components were previously removed.
Install the third row seat cushion cover.
2.
CAUTION:
Use hog ring pliers to close the hog rings. Do not use any other tool. The hog
rings must be closed
as illustrated.
NOTE:
Make sure that new hog rings are installed.
General Equipment: Hog ring pliers
Renew Part: Hog rings Quantity: 7.
3.
Install the 7 new hog rings in the sequence shown.
4. Install the third row seat cushion cover assembly.
5. Install the 8 seat cushion cover clips.
6. Install the 2 seat base clips.
7. Connect the seat cushion heater element electrical connector.
8. Install the third row seat.

Vehicle with 5 doors is shown, vehicle with 3 doors is similar.

of the rear bumper, 1 on each side.
