REMOVAL

CAUTION: Before disconnecting any components, make sure the area is clean and free from foreign material. When disconnected all openings must be sealed.

NOTE:

1. Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

2. Use the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) approved diagnostic equipment to activate the Integrated Power Brake assembly mode.

3. Remove the wheel and tire.

CAUTION: The brake pad wear sensor is easily damaged. Do not use a lever to remove the sensor.

NOTE: Left side only.

Disconnect and release the brake pad wear sensor.

5.

WARNING: Be prepared to collect escaping fluid.

CAUTION: If the brake hose banjo bolt has been loosened or removed, a new brake hose assembly must be installed.

Disconnect the brake hose from the brake caliper.

NOTE: Only do this step if a new brake caliper is to be installed.

If a new brake caliper is to be installed, remove the brake pads.

NOTE: Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.

Remove the cooling scoop.

INSTALLATION

1.

Brake Caliper 6 Piston Fixed Caliper

Install the cooling scoop.

Torque: 4Nm

CAUTION: Make sure that new bolts are installed.

NOTE: This step should only be performed when installing a new brake caliper.

If a new brake caliper is to be installed, install the brake pads.

4.

CAUTION: Make sure that a new flexible brake hose assembly is to be installed.

Install a new brake hose.

Renew Part: Brake hose Quantity: 1.

5.

Brake Caliper 6 Piston Fixed Caliper

Install and secure the brake pad wear sensor.

6. Bleed the brake system.

7. Use the JLR approved diagnostic equipment to deactivate the Integrated Power Brake assembly mode.

General Equipment: Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment

8. Use the JLR approved diagnostic equipment to complete the Leakage and Air Monitoring test to the Integrated Power Brake.

9. Install the wheel and tire.
