Land Rover Defender: Driver Door Window Control Switch

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

REMOVAL

NOTES:

• This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
• This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.

1. Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.

2. Remove the front door trim panel.

3.

• Disconnect the 3 electrical connectors from the driver door switchpack.
• Release the connector.
• Release the 2 wiring harness clips.
• Remove the 3 screws.
• Remove the driver door switchpack assembly.

4.

• Remove the 2 screws.
• Release the 7 clips.
• Remove the driver door window control switch.

INSTALLATION

1.

• Install the driver door window control switch into the bracket.
• Install and tighten the 2 screws.

  Torque: 2Nm

2.

• Install the driver door control switch assembly.
• Install and tighten the 3 bolts.

  Torque: 5Nm

• Install the electrical connector.
• Install the 2 wiring harness clips.
• Connect the 3 electrical connectors to the driver door switchpack.

3. Install the front door trim panel.

4. Connect the startup battery ground cable.
