Land Rover Defender: Headlamp Washer Pump

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

REMOVAL

NOTES:

• This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
• This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.

1. Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2-post lift.

2. Remove the front right wheel arch liner.

3.

Disconnect the electrical connector.

4.

• Disconnect the 2 headlamp washer hoses.
• Release the washer hose from the 2 clips.

5.

• Release the headlamp washer hose from the clip.
• Remove the headlamp washer pump from the windshield washer reservoir.

INSTALLATION

1.

CAUTION: The seal is to be reused unless damaged.

• Install the headlamp washer pump into the windshield washer reservoir.
• Connect the 2 headlamp washer hoses.
• Secure the 2 headlamp washer hoses to the 2 clips.
• Connect the electrical connector.

2. Install the front right wheel arch liner.
