Land Rover Defender: Rear Junction Box
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

The following step(s) applies to:
All vehicles
1. Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
The following step(s) applies to:
3-door
2. Remove the right rear quarter trim panel.
3.
- Remove the 3 nuts.
- Cut and discard the clip.
- Release the Rear Junction Box (RJB).
The following step(s) applies to:
5-door
4. Remove the right loadspace trim panel.
5.
- Remove the 3 nuts.
- Release the clip.
- Cut and discard the clip.
- Release the RJB.
The following step(s) applies to:
All vehicles
6.
- Release the 2 clips.
- Remove the RJB front cover.
7.
- Release the 8 clips.
- Remove the RJB rear cover.
8.
CAUTION:
Note the correct position of the electrical connectors.
- Remove the nut.
- Disconnect the 14 electrical connectors.
- Remove the RJB.
INSTALLATION
The following step(s) applies to:
All vehicles
1.
- Install the Rear Junction Box (RJB).
- Connect the 14 electrical connectors to the RJB.
- Install and tighten the nut.
Torque: 15Nm
2.
- Install the 8 clips.
- Install the RJB rear cover.
3.
- Install the 2 clips.
- Install the RJB front cover.
4.
The following step(s) applies to:
5-door
5. Install the right loadspace trim panel.
The following step(s) applies to:
3-door
6. Install the right rear quarter trim panel.
The following step(s) applies to:
All vehicles
7. Connect the startup battery ground cable.

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

An ISO metric bolt or screw made of steel and larger than 6 mm in diameter
can be identified by either of the symbols
