Land Rover Defender: C-Pillar Side Impact Sensor
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

WARNINGS:
NOTES:

- This procedure contains illustrations for left side components, right
side components are similar.
1. Make the Supplementary Restraint System (SRS) safe.
2. Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
3. Remove the left loadspace trim panel.
4.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the C-pillar side impact
sensor.
- Remove the nut.
- Remove the C-pillar side impact sensor.
INSTALLATION
1.
- Install the C-pillar side impact sensor.
- Install and tighten the nut.
Torque: 10Nm
- Connect the electrical connector to the C-pillar side impact sensor.
2. Install the left loadspace trim panel.
3. Connect the startup battery ground cable.
Clockspring

The clockspring is not a serviceable item and must be replaced with the Steering
Column Multifunction
Switch.
1. Remove the clockspring.
