REMOVAL
NOTE:

on the vehicle specification, but the

- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components
removed to provide extra clarity.
1. Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
2. Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
3. Vacuum drain the engine oil.
4. Remove the crankshaft pulley.

NOTE:
Note the installed position of the components prior to removal.
- Remove the 2 covers.
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Remove the 2 idler pulleys.
6.
- Remove the 12 bolts.
- Remove the engine front cover.

NOTE:
This step is not required if a new engine front cover is installed.
INSTALLATION
1.
NOTES:
- This step is not required if a new engine front cover is installed.
- Do not lubricate the crankshaft front seal.

Apply RTV sealant in the positions shown.

- Install and tighten the 4 bolts in the illustrated sequence.
Torque: 12Nm
- Working diagonally, install and tighten the remaining 8 bolts.
Torque: 12Nm
5. Remove the special tool.

CAUTION:
Make sure the component is installed to its noted removal position. Failure to
follow this instruction
may result in damage to the vehicle.
- Install the left idler pulley.
- Install and tighten the bolt.
Torque: 48Nm
- Install the cover.
7.
CAUTION:
Make sure the component is installed to its noted removal position. Failure to
follow this instruction
may result in damage to the vehicle.
- Install the right side idler pulley.
- Install and tighten the bolt.
Torque: 25Nm
- Install the cover.
8. Install the crankshaft pulley.
9. Fill the engine with oil.
10. Connect the startup battery ground cable.
