Steering Gear Boot

REMOVAL

CAUTION: Inspect the steering gear boot, replace if damaged.

NOTES:

1. Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2-post lift.

2. Remove the front left wheel and tire assembly.

3. Remove the tie-rod end.

CAUTIONS:

  • Make sure that the area around the component is clean and free of foreign material.
  • Note the positions of the components on removal.
  • Care must be taken when remove the components not to damage the inner tie-rod. Failure to follow this instruction may result in corrosion of the inner tie-rod.

Steering Gear Boot

INSTALLATION

1.

CAUTIONS:

  • Make sure that the area around the component is clean and free of foreign material.
  • Make sure that the components are installed to the noted removal position.
  • Care must be taken when install the components not to damage the inner tie-rod. Failure to follow this instruction may result in corrosion of the inner tie-rod.

2. Install the tie-rod end.

3. Install the front left wheel and tire.
